Peugeot 308 RC Z and hybrids

It was packed with 27 cars in rambling hall 8 – five of which were new concept cars, albeit mostly versions of existing production cars. But there was little doubt which was most eye-catching: the 308 coupe concept was an elegant reminder that French design shouldn’t be written off quite yet.

Opel/Vauxhall RAK e concept

Opel/Vauxhall has released images of the RAK e concept prior to its unveiling at the Frankfurt motor show next week. Billed as a car that ‘could revolutionize urban transport', it's clear that the company is thinking along similar lines to Volkswagen (Nils) and Audi (Urban Concept). Frankfurt's shaping up to offer a feast of these new single or tandem seat concept vehicles that conceptually sit in between a scooter and a small car.

The Brabus B63 S - 300bhp more and a 200mph top speed Brabus is one of the best known Mercedes car tuners, and produces a huge array of tuned versions of Mercedes AMG products. And at the Essen Motor Show this week it’s revealed the Brabus B63 S, a tuned and sorted Mercedes E63 AMG with extra horses. Also on offer are liberal doses of carbon fibre and other interior tweaks and titivates.
